Project 2
Saucy Shakespeare
Songs?
I had a lot of passion for this paper. It allowed me to easily find information and research the topic because I enjoyed it. I loved coming up with my conclusions about the inclusion of songs in Shakespeare based on my research. I think in the process of writing, some of my thoughts weren’t as clear to the reader because, initially, I didn’t explain some aspects of Shakespearean music etc. This was highlighted when Alison and I peer reviewed each other’s work and she is much more science oriented and I am much more theatrical, therefore, we did not understand most of our papers. So going back, I had to adjust my clarity and make sure my thesis and arguments were very clear so that people who didn’t necessarily know much about Shakespeare and theatre would be able to understand my paper. But, that said, I think what I did well with my paper was having passion behind my words and having that passion drive the eloquence of my writing. I felt like I might have fit a little too much information in my paper, and went a little over the word count, but that’s because I found so much that I found interesting and wanted to fit into my paper. So, somehow, I managed to fit a lot into a relatively small word count for what I wanted. I think for next time, I want to challenge myself by not including as much information so that my analysis will be more in depth.
